PILATES TEACHING TIPS: Inner Kids - Teaching With Love, Compassion and Mindfulness

More on this later!

Pilates Poem June 30, 2010 For Chefs Who Dare to Make Cajeta!

This post is a poem dedicated to Jan Bramlett, my sister, my dear friend, my husband Charlie's first wife, & a finer woman you've never met...This on the first day of her cross-country adventure with her kin...

Why do I post this on my Pilates Blog? Two of my pilates clients, Jan and Amanda Moore, inspired it!

Read the Pilates Poem for Cajeta & Brownies below (Cajeta was made for Amanda Moore, whose birthday we celebrated on Sunday, June 27th...and

Jan has inspired me to publish my poetry right here in Arcata on our newly reinvigorated and baptised "THE MANILA COMMUNITY POETRY BOARD"

For Chefs Who Dare to Make Cajeta!

Cajeta is best when tears fresh
fall
inhale to prepare those hips to move
exhale and engage those kegels once more
and please
don't forget that the spine is a two way stretch
the path to the light of heaven's gate our place of origin of spirit of womb
dark and then blast...
the cajeta it moves and the sauce reponds to the hips moving in a figure eight
like infinity
like yoga with ever the breath leading the sway of thoes hips and belly begins the move and
350 calories are burned each of the three hours
that the hips move in that infinite sway of love and creation
and that spine is erect and sometimes not as it responds
to the belly button the navel the sweetness of daring to cook for 3 hours
and not leave the hot stove to breath the air fresh from the ocean
but love knows no bounds
and I weep for the sadness the grieving the veil about to be
let go
to vanish as the future unwinds
as Amanda's letting go her veil her mourning veil is released as she sheds it
with understanding how like they a re
birth and death
how they are so very intertwined in
difficulty...to be birthed...to be died
or
is it
to be born...to be died
how much of our own spirit soul consciousness is part of birth and death
how much consciousness is required to make the cajeta? And eat it too!
Without getting fat? Follow this routine while you make it!
