Spring Vacation Starts with Growing Basil for our Farm!

Today I am on my first day of Spring Vacation and I'm busy as a bee. I'll be putting in some greens, beans, tomatoes, potatoes, peas, and more greens in my garden at home.

Then this afternoon I'll be picking up seedlings and possibly cherry trees from Mud Baron in the valley!

We will be planting these at Nora Sterry Elementary School when we return from Spring break on March 24th.

We are raising basil to sell to local nurseries in our neighborhood, to raise money for our school.
We are also hoping to become a part of a co-op of westside schools selling organically raised produce at local Farmers Markets.

Happy Spring!

6:16 pm Saturday....
I'm back and exhausted but happy to have a carload full of veggies of all colors and a whole lot of basil for our Nora Sterry Basil Farm!

Didn't have much luck with the cherry trees, but, I did manage to adopt a Thompson grade vine which is fully mature and ready to plant!

Thank you, Mud Baron, for everything!
